GIS Mapping Now Available on Townfolio

Part of what has helped Townfolio become one of the leading solutions for economic developers is you – the economic developer!

We’ve been listening to feedback from our partners and clients over the last year, and we’re very excited to announce the addition of a brand new, highly requested feature to the Townfolio platform – GIS Mapping!

GIS – or Geographic Information System – is a framework for gathering, managing, and analyzing data. Using spatial information, Townfolio is able to create visualizations through maps and 3D scenes.

What does that mean for you?

The Townfolio GIS Mapping Tool can help you illuminate issues inside and outside your community that are driven by geography.

1. You can segment a map of your community through multiple different variables
2. Variables include population, employment and unemployment rates, household income, size of household, and median age
3. Create a colour-coded, bordered and interactive graphic to help you draw insights
4. Each map has zoom capability, navigational compass and full-screen controls
5. Use GIS Mapping on your Townfolio Community Profile and your Website Embeds
